Host Tobias Schlegel supports Greenmiles

Hamburg, 11 August 2008
The Inspector General of NDR undertook an investigation into sustainability. Tobias Schlegel, the eloquent moderator of the satirical program "Extra III", travelled for weeks throughout Germany interviewing specialists, celebrities and youths about ecological topics. He not only asked those he interviewed critical questions about Germany’s sustainability, but he also grappled with these issues himself. He naturally discovered that we can all start making small efforts and can change things for the better. These interviews led to a book published by Rowohlt Publishers entitled “Too late? Are we ready for the future young Germans” in which Schlegel offers selected tips and included the company Greenmiles among his recommendations for a positive lifestyle. A chapter of this book can be downloaded exclusively from Greenmiles (see below).
Schlegel is by no means just a theorist. The journalist was an advisory member of the Council for Sustainable Development of the Federal Government and for three years critically examined issues such as education, consumption, environmental protection and unemployment. After leaving the advisory committee, Schlegel embarked on a journey throughout Germany which travel experiences the book market found refreshing. He does all of this without pointing fingers and with a proper dash of humor.
